Türkiye'de Kaç Ayasofya Kilisesi (Camisi) Var.../How many in Turkey Hagia Sophia?

Çoğumuz merak etmişizdir belki veya tartışmışızdır Türkiye’de kaç Ayasofya var diye. Ve neden Ayasofya ismi yaygın kullanılmıştır.

Önce biraz bilgi kısmına girelim..Neden Aya sofya . Ayasofya ( Haghia Sophia ya da bazı kaynaklarda Sainte Sophie) kelimesindeki  “sofya” sözcüğü herhangi bir kimsenin adı olmayıp, Eski Yunancada “bilgelik” anlamındaki sophos sözcüğünden gelmektedir. Yani “aya sofya” adı “kutsal bilgelik” veya “ilahi bilgelik” anlamına gelmektedir.  Bu Ortodoksluk mezhebinde Tanrı'nın üç niteliğinden biri sayılır. Bu nedenle özellikle Bizans  (Doğu Roma) döneminde Anadolu’nun değişik yerlerinde Ayasofya ad verilen kiliseler yapılmıştır.

Osmanlılar döneminde bunların çoğu camiye çevrilmiş, hatta camimi olsun müzemi olsun tartışması günümüze kadar sürmüştür ve sürmektedir. Bu nedenle bazı kiliseler bu tartışmalar arasında kaderine terkedilmiştir.

Ayasofya deyince tabii ki hepimizin aklına İstanbul’daki mimari harikası Ayasofya Camii (müzesi) gelir.Bunun yanında çoğunlukla Trabzon Ayasofyası’ndan ve İznik Ayasofyası’ndan bahsedilir. Çünkü bunlar aynı zamanda Hristiyanlık tarihinde de önemli yere sahiptirler.

Ben bu üç Ayasofya’yı gezip resimledikten sonra bir de Kırklareli Vize’de varlığını duydum, hadi oraya da gittik gördük.Bunlara İstanbul’da bir semte adını veren Küçük Ayasofya Camii’ni de ekledik. Şimdi beşi tamamladık hepsini gördük rahatlığını yaşarken daha bitmediğini öğrendim.

Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğünün; Türkiye’de beşi cami olarak kullanılan, ikisi de ibadete kapalı yedi  Ayasofya vardır haberi sayıyı yediye çıkarsa da bitmedi. Kastamonu Üniversitesi’nden Yrd. Doç. Ersoy Soydan’ın ‘Türkiye’de Kilise ve Manastırlar’ kitabına göre Türkiye’de adı Ayasofya olan dokuz kilise var. Demek ki daha gezilecek dört Ayasofya var. Peki Türkiye’deki Ayasofya Kiliseleri (veya camileri) nerede ve ne durumda..

1.Ayasofya Camii (müzesi) İstanbul

Yılda yaklaşık 3,5 milyon kişinin ziyaret ettiği,sadece İstanbul’un değil,Türkiye’nin en çok gezilen müzesi. Ayasofya’nın bulunduğu yere ilk kilise 360 yılında yapılmıştır. 404 yılında yıkılan yere ikinci kilise 415 yılında inşa edilmiştir. Günümüz Ayasofya’sı İmparator Justinianos (527-565) tarafından dönemin iki önemli mimarı olan Miletos’lu (Milet) İsidoros ile Tralles’li (Aydın) Anthemios’a yaptırılmıştır.

1453 yılında İstanbul’un fethiyle Camiye çevrilmiştir.1 Şubat 1935’te de Atatürk’ün emriyle müzeye dönüştürülmüş ziyarete açılmıştır.

2.Küçük Ayasofya Camii İstanbul

Küçük Ayasofya Camii. İstanbul'un Küçük Ayasofya semtinde yer almaktadır. Bizans (Doğu Roma) İmparatoru I. Jüstinyen ve karısı Theodora tarafından 527-536 yılları arasında Aya Sergios ve Bachos Kilisesi adıyla yaptırılmış kilise 1497'de Sultan II. Beyazıt döneminde  Darüssaade ağası Hüseyin Ağa tarafından  camiye çevrilmiştir. Değişik zamanlarda onarım görmüş, şadırvanı ve bahçesi düzenlenmiştir. Günümüzde de  cami olarak kullanılmaktadır.

3.Trabzon Ayasofyası

Trabzon’un Fatih Mahallesi’ndeki Ayasofya Müzesi, kent surlarının yaklaşık iki kilometre dışında bulunuyor. Bir manastır olduğu bilinen yapının sadece ana kilisesi ve çan kulesi günümüze ulaşmış durumda. 1964’te ziyarete açılan Ayasofya Müzesi’nin bakımlı ve güzel bir bahçesi de bulunuyor. Gerçek Doğu Roma İmparatoru’nun kendisi olduğunu kanıtlamak isteyen I.Manuel Kommenos’un (1238-1263) bu nedenle İstanbul’daki imparatorluk kilisesiyle aynı adı taşıyan yapıyı inşa ettirdiği sanılıyor.

4.İznik Ayasofyası  (Ayasofya Orhan Camii)

İznik Ayasofya Camii, İznik'in tam ortasında , surlarla çevrili kentin dört kapısından gelen yolların kesiştiği yerde inşa edilmiş olan yapıdır. Hristiyanlıkla ilgili önemli kararların alındığı 7. Konsil  787 yılında bu kilisede toplanmıştır. 1331'den sonra Orhan Gazi camiye dönüştürmüştür. Bir dönem müze olarak kullanılan camii tartışmalara yol açan karara rağmen 2011 yılında tekrar camiye dönüştürülmüştür.

5.Kırklareli Vize Ayasofya’sı (Gazi Süleyman Paşa Camii)

Vize ilçesindeki Küçük Ayasofya ya da Gazi Süleyman Paşa Camii olarak bilinen yapı, orijinal hali büyük ölçüde korunmuş bir Doğu Roma kilisesi. Yapının ilk olarak hangi tarihte inşa edildiği bilinmiyor ancak yapılan arkeolojik kazılara göre 5. ya da 6. yüzyılda inşa edilmiş bir bazilikanın temelleri üzerine kurulduğu tahmin ediliyor.Günümüzde camii olarak kullanılsa da çoğu zaman kapısının kilitli olduğunu görüyorsunuz. Vize’ye gelenlerin en çok ziyaret ettiği yer olarak ilçe turizmine hizmet ediyor.

6.Edirne Ayasofyası

Enez Kaleiçi’ndeki Ayasofya Kilisesi, Enez’in Osmanlı tarafından alınmasından sonra II. Mehmet tarafından camiye çevrilmiş. 1962’ye kadar cami olarak kullanılan yapının çatısı ve bazı duvarları 1965 depreminde çöktü.Günümüzde restorasyon çalışmalarıyla ayağa kalkmayı bekliyor.

7.Gümüşhane

Gümüşhane’nin Kabaköy köyünün Doğu Roma döneminde önemli bir yerleşim olduğu ve buradaki Ayasofya’nın 10. yüzyılda inşa edildiği ve episkoposluk merkezi olduğu biliniyor. 1869’da camiye çevrilen yapının üç apsisi tahtayla kapatılmış durumda ve bu bölüm halen depo olarak kullanılıyor.

8.Zonguldak

5. yüzyılda II.Theodosios döneminde inşa edildiği bilinen yapının Ereğli’nin alınmasından sonra Orhan Gazi tarafından camiye çevrildiği tahmin ediliyor. Günümüzde Orta Camii adıyla kullanılıyor.

9.Bitlis

Tatvan’ın Çekmece (Şamiran) köyünde bulunan ve yakın zamanda camiye çevrilen Ayasofya Kilisesi orijinal özelliklerini büyük ölçüde koruyor. Kilisenin sütunlarında Ermenice yazılar görülüyor. Yapının asıl adının bu olmadığı, yöre halkı tarafından Ayasofya olarak adlandırılan bir Ermeni kilisesi olduğu tahmin ediliyor.

Most of us worry about uh, maybe because there's a couple of Hagia Sophia in Turkey or is duscision. And why does the name commonly used in Hagia Sophia.
